Olefin

 

Unsaturated hydrocarbon. Olefins such as ethylene and propylene are produced from crude-oil fraction or natural gas. They serve as base materials for polymer (plastic) and other chemical products.

Olefin polymerization

 

Manufacture of olefin-based polymers, such as polyethylene and polypropylene.

Oligomerization

 

Chemical reaction incorporating monomers into higher molecular compounds.

OPERATING LEASES

 

Lease agreements under which the risks and opportunities arising from ownership remain with the lessor. According to ias, the lease asset is capitalized by the lessor.

Oxidation catalysis

 

Catalyst required for the oxidative production of basic chemicals, including phthalic acid.
